Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the church was built in 1832 and declared "extinct" in 1892. The Historical Society has built an addition on the back for a museum. Restoration to its original condition took place in the 1950's. It now needs repairs, and could be maintained by the Historical Society. Visitors can view a sample of the original lath, as well as walnut pews, the high lectern, an oil chandelier, and the pedal pump organ.
