Annual Membership Dinner
Was held
Saturday October 17
at
Jefferson Grange Hall
Roast beef dinner was served and appreciated by all who came. ACHS thanks the Jefferson Grange for their fine service. The
4 board members whose terms are ending this year were re-elected. There
1 position with a partial term has had a name submitted for Board
consideration, since partial terms can only be appointed by them. We
took
nominations from the floor the 1 open full term positions, and elected
Tiffany Miller as our new Trustee. The re-elected members are Nancy Arnold, Jean Metcalf, and Julie Miller.
New service for Newsletters
Some
ACHS members are already receiving our Newsletters automatically via
e-mail when they are published, rather than waiting for them to arrive
in the mail. This is good for everybody since it saves our crew time
and the cost of postage to get the newsletters out, and it's faster as
well.
If you, whether an ACHS member or not, would like to receive the newsletter via e-mail when it's published please e-mail us at: Research@ashtcohs.com

At
this time I would like to express our sadness at the loss this last
February of our dear friend Dr. Thomas E. Corts. Most of you know what
a great contribution he made to Ashtabula history with his book “Bliss
and Tragedy”. We are forever grateful for all he has meant to this
Society as well as history in general, and he will be sadly missed.
Sincerely,
Cher Shepard
